Changing water?

Hi all,

I'm looking for a desktop pet at work and Billabong bugs look like fun.
But just wondering how often you have to change the water?

Its probably not something I can easily do at work.
Does the water get cloudy / green very quickly like Gold fish?
Do the shedded skins/shells need to be cleaned regularly?
